Thursdays are quickly becoming the best day of the week here, I look forward to this every week and get so excited when Thursday comes around so I can write this post!
This week See's the return of a major pop vixen and finally some male entries into this weeks countdown! :D
1. Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love.
Finally. She's back. I've never really had a bad thing to say about this woman, glad the EDM is dropped for her come back, smart move Scherzy!! This uptempo jam is probably gonna set your summer's alive! The break down is EVERYTHING right now. I can barely deal with this flaw-free offering :D
2. Lily Allen - URL Badman.
Andddd on to the next single from the baddest pop bitch in the game, URL Badman. This is her straight up classic Lily sing-spoken style done right. one of the tracks that stood out from her album so I'm happy it's getting released!
3. Austin Mahone - Secret.
Well, just when I was writing him off as a Bieber wannabe this kid releases the most flawless 8 track album. Backed full of seriously gorgeous ballads and some killer up tempos. This one is my absolute favourite. It sounds like something the backstreet boys would have put out in their prime, it's got that sick 90's pop/boy band sound. You almost expect each verse to be sung by a different person. I'm sold on Austin, PLUS HE'S FUCKING HOT OMG… I think he's 18 now, so I'm allowed to say that.
4. Sam Smith - Leave Your Lover
This guy. Just wow. What a magnificent moment in music for 2014. This year belongs to Sam, It's yours Sam. His debut album is absolutely devastatingly beautiful/emotional and I highly recommend that everyone owns a copy. It's basically the 21 of 2014. Leave Your Lover is absolutely STUNNING, I cannot urge everyone enough to listen to this and get lost in his desperate plea.. I love you Sam!
5. La Roux - Uptight Downtown
OOOOOHHHH YES. So I was under the impression that 'Let Me Down Gently' was a first single but turns out it was just the buzz single. A couple of days ago this got served to us as the first official single. I'm pretty sure they played this at the showcase I went to in Brighton, UK last year, I have some very sketchy recordings.. This track is a absolute monster, I'm sure it's gonna set the clubs on fire. Elly's voice is SUCh a treasure.
