NEW: Basement Jaxx - Back 2 The Wild

Well, Dance music LEGENDS Basement Jaxx are taking a step back into the limelight with this new single 'Back 2 The Wild' from their upcoming 7th studio album. BJ have been around for what seems like eternity, most will know them from their tracks, 'Good Luck', Where's Your Head At (That film clip used to terrify me as a child), 'Rain Drops', 'Fly Life', 'Do Your Thing', 'Romeo'... The list seriously goes ON & ON, hence why I referred to them as Legends.

NEW: Empire Of The Sun - Alive

So today marked the release of one of my favourite Aussie music outfits, Empire Of The Sun, this is the first taste of original material from them in over what is it now? like 4-5 years? Most would remember them from their monster tracks, We Are The People and of course, Walking on A Dream, my other favourite from the album had to be Swordfish HotKiss Night, so funky. Anyway, this has been such a long time coming, but, when it's THIS good, i'm really not bothered that I needed to wait.. Justin Timberlake, take note - this is how a comeback is done.

Tune Of The Week: Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash - Reload (Featuring John Martin)

This weeks Tune of the Week comes from house music heavy weights Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash, some may know him from Sebastian from being a part of Swedish House Mafia & also from his slew of releases for the last decade which really along with SMH counter parts (Axwell and Steve Angello) really got me into house music at the age of 15 and really never have looked back. They as a team have changed the face of the house music scene and even more so in the last couple of years as their Alias have really put out some stellar releases (One, Don't You Worry Child, Miami 2 Ibiza, Save The World, Greyhound and Antidote with Knife party) and others might know Aussie Dj Tommy Trash from his huge range of singles, collabs and remixes he's released single 2007 such as the HUGE track 'Slide' which was probably his more successful commercial single and other more recent tracks with A-Trak, Aston Shuffle and Moguai.

INSERT, ROTATE, RIDE: Charli XCX - What I Like

So this is a new regular post today that I'm starting called 'Insert, Rotate, Ride' - I don't want people to take this in a dirty way, but hey take it as you may. But I'll give a short explanation as to what it really means Insert = The now caveman way of playing music, inserting a disc into a CD player. Rotate = Hit repeat... repeat, repeat, REPEAT. Ride =  Let it take you on a ride. And by that I mean that it's pretty much tracks you'd chuck on a playlist for 'those' moments ;)

This girl is seriously so hot right now, After releasing one of the best mixtapes of 2012 ('Super Ultra' - If you haven't heard it, you're seriously missing out and I urge you to go get it), writing and featuring in Icona Pop's global smash 'I Love It' and being all round babe, she is gearing up for the release of her debut major label record 'True Romance' which is released this month (Which you can Pre-Order worldwide HERE).  We were already teased with one new track 'You (Ha Ha Ha)' earlier in the year and now we've got 'What I Like'

Tune Of The Week: Young Galaxy - New Summer

First Track of the week for April 2013!!

As the release of (My Favorite Band) 'Young Galaxy's 4th album 'Ultramarine' (APRIL 23rd!!!) grows ever closer, they have now teased us with the third single from their so far, flawless string of singles, first 'Pretty Boy' which I originally wasn't too keen on when I first heard it account on someone pointing out that it sounds 100% like early 80's track 'Wild Ambitions' by YMO - but then I thought, why do I actually even give a fuck? If someone can breathe fresh life into something, then just enjoy it - so I did, 157 times (to be precise). Then came the funky 'Fall For You' and now with the release of 'New Summer' I am legit frothing at the mouth like a rabid dog.
