NEW: Empire Of The Sun - Alive

So today marked the release of one of my favourite Aussie music outfits, Empire Of The Sun, this is the first taste of original material from them in over what is it now? like 4-5 years? Most would remember them from their monster tracks, We Are The People and of course, Walking on A Dream, my other favourite from the album had to be Swordfish HotKiss Night, so funky. Anyway, this has been such a long time coming, but, when it's THIS good, i'm really not bothered that I needed to wait.. Justin Timberlake, take note - this is how a comeback is done.

So when I woke up today and saw that this wonderful track had been made available after exclusively premiering one TripleJ radio station in Australia, I almost wet myself with excitement. From the first moment I pressed play, I fell in love. The beat, the synths, the chanting, the bass line. It's so straight forward but so delectable. This is going to be a HUGE summer anthem, I am so glad they are back so I can have wonderful sun and alcoholic drenched afternoons with my mates listening to the new album, probably backed up by Daft Punk's new album. This could well be the best summer of my entire life.
